Holiday

from Back of the line by Robin Auld

/

about

Always loved the Bee Gees old tragic orchestral pop stuff, was messing around with this at rehearsal and dug it. Took the tracks home and did some more recording...playing the song at gigs now.

lyrics

Oh you're a holiday
such a holiday
oh you're a holiday
such a holiday

It's something I think worthwhile
if the puppet makes you smile
if not then you're throwing stones
throwing stones, throwing stones

Oh it's a funny game
don't believe that it's all the same
can't think what I just said
put the soft pillow on my head

If millions of eyes can see
then why am I so blind
when the somebody else is me
it's unkind, it's unkind

It's something I feel worthwhile
if the puppet makes you smile
if not then you're throwing stones
throwing stones, throwing stones

Oh you're a holiday
such a holiday
Now it's my turn to say
and I say
you're a holiday

If millions of eyes can see
then why am I so blind
when the somebody else is me
it's unkind, it's unkind
